Muhammadsuriyee  Masu was born on September 23, 1990 in Narathiwat. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Arts from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus. He lives and works in Pattani, and is currently interested in the ethnic Malay identity and the diversity of the lives of the Malay people. Seeing how shadow puppetry theatre, or wayang kulit, is part of Malay entertainment culture, he chooses to use these aesthetics to present contemporary stories and reflect on their relationship with life. Old characters from folklore are presented alongside new characters to depict the lives of Malay people today, with the aim for the audience to ask questions and reflect on the idea of Malayness.

มูฮัมหมัดซุรียี มะซู เกิดวันที่ 23 กันยายน 2533 ที่จังหวัดนราธิวาส เขาจบการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีจากสาขาวิชาทัศนศิลป์ คณะศิลปกรรมศาสตร์ หมาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตปัตตานี เขาทำงานศิลปะอยู่ที่จังหวัดปัตตานี ปัจจุบันเขาสนใจในเรื่องชาติพันธุ์มลายูหรือคนมลายู ที่มีความหลากหลายในการดำเนินชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ของคนมลายู  โดยนำเสนอเนื้อหาผ่านหนังตะลุง หนังตะลุงคือการแสดงบันเทิงอย่างหนึ่งของวัฒนธรรมมลายู เป็นการเล่าเรื่องราวเรียงร้อยเป็นนิยายที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับวิถีชีวิต เป็นการใช้เงาบนจอผ้า มีตัวละครหลากหลายที่อ้างอิงจากชาวบ้าน เขาจึงได้นำสิ่งเหล่านี้มาสร้างสรรค์ผลงาน โดยสร้างตัวละครขึ้นมาใหม่เพื่อสะท้อนถึงชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ของคนมลายูในปัจจุบัน ติดตั้งร่วมกับวิดีโอภาษามลายูและตัวอักษรยาวี เพื่อให้ผู้ชมได้ตั้งคำถาม และค้นหาความเป็นมลายู
